Instructions

  • Add together all ingredients except carbonated water and blend in a small mixer or hand blender.
  • Strain mixture by pressing through strainer so excess ginger fibers are removed.
  • Use this as a base syrup and add plain or carbonated water as desired to make ginger ale drink.
  • For serving the ginger ale, combine 3 TBSP of the syrup base with 1 cup of carbonated water.
  • Increase proportionally as required.

Storage

Syrup should stay in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Notes

Lounge outside with your book, and sip your chilled homemade ginger ale. You could also use this ginger base with hot water to make a soothing tea.
