3 TBSP walnut or canola oil

⅓ cup raw honey – local is best (can try with less)

¾ cup walnuts, chopped

2 organic eggs

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup oats or chia seeds*

⅔ cup flaxseed, ground

½ tsp baking powder

2 tsp (10 ml) pure vanilla extract

237 ml oats (80 grams rolled or 160 grams steel-cut) or chia seeds (161 grams)*

90 grams flaxseed, ground

½ tsp (2.5 ml) baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 350°F (180°C)
  • Beat together first 7 ingredients (oil to wheat germ)
  • Mix together oats or chia seeds & baking powder, fold into beaten mixture
  • Pour mixture into 8-inch (20.3-cm) greased shallow square pan
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until firm to the touch
  • Cut into squares & serve.
